Event Optimizing Model
Nebraska Innovation Studio hosts 24+ trainings per 6 day week in 4 different workshops on 50+ machines. These trainings range from 30-90 minutes and can happen at any time that the Studio is open.
I examined 6 years of historical data to identify ideal times for these trainings based on previous signups. 4385 events were filtered by date, workshop, and training type to generate ideal times. The model was built with optional scaling factors for the attendance rate, the sample size, and the standard deviation, so users could tweak the model to their preferences.
This analysis was done to maximize the number of attendees at trainings and reduce duplicate instruction. An estimated percent improvement is shown for each illustration.
